는 Amazon의 Vice president로써 2012년 입사하였다. 원래는 Gregory Klimpson이라는 평범한 본명이었다. 그는 1980년대 한국의 경기도 동두천에서 주한미군으로 군 복무를 한 특이한 이력을 소유하고 있다.

그가 주한미군 복무를 이행하던 중 우연히 굴김치를 식사메뉴로 접하였는데,

이 오묘한 맛에 반하여 매끼 굴김치를 찾아먹게 되었고, 아예 이름을 개명하는 단계에 이르렀다.

In 2013, he was named VP, Profit Systems and Prime Air, and from 2014 to 2020, he served as Amazon's VP, Prime Air. In March 2020, it was announced that David Carbon, a former Boeing executive, would be taking over for Gur as VP, Prime Air. Gur remains with Amazon in an undisclosed role. Prior to joining Amazon, Gur spent nearly 10 years with Microsoft, lastly as a Partner Engineering Manager involved with peer-to-peer search and action-centric advertising. Prior to Microsoft, he was Chief Architect with VocalTec.
